JOB DESCRIPTION
Ecolab is seeking a Chemical Engineer to work independently with minimal direction, developing procedures and directing analyses to scale up chemical processes and transfer process technology to production plants. In this role you will also investigate financial aspects of the project and make recommendations to management.
As a key member of project teams within RD&E you will provide significant input into project direction, strategy, and timing. You may also initiate or contribute to the development of differentiated technology as well as products, processes, or systems. Individuals are also encouraged to invent new product and processing concepts which may eventually be commercialized.

What You Will Do:
4. Design and optimize chemical processes for manufacturing Ecolab products such as detergents, sanitizers, disinfectants, and associated premixes.
5. Conduct research to develop innovative and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
6. Determine most effective arrangement of unit operations such as mixing, blending, coating, milling, grinding, screening, cooling, shaping, polymerizing, and chemical synthesis. Direct personnel controlling equipment used for such unit operations.
7. Design experiments using statistical analysis to understand dynamics of chemical processes and formulations.
8. Determine process capability through statistical analysis and make recommendations for product and process specifications.
9. Support the Experimental request System application through requirements determination, documentation, and communication with internal and external IT support.
Minimum Qualifications:
10. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
11. 1 year of experience working in an RD&E environment
12. Immigration sponsorship not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications
13. Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
14. Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills
15. Product/Process development experience
16. Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment
17. Experimental design knowledge and application experience.
