Network Excellence Development Manager / Channel Development Manager Europe
We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Construction Equipment Sales Department as a Network Excellence Development Manager.
The NED Manager is responsible for strategically building, maintaining, and optimizing the dealer network within HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe. This role is pivotal in recruiting high-performing dealers, ensuring their ongoing success, and taking decisive action when performance standards are not met. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction equipment industry and a proven track record of driving dealer performance through strong leadership, analysis, and relationship management.
This role reports to the Head of NED.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Recruitment & Development:
1. Identify, target, and recruit new dealers to strengthen the company’s distribution network in Europe.
2. Negotiate and execute dealer agreements, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards.
3. Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure dealers are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed.
Dealer Performance Management:
1. Monitor and assess the performance of dealers using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, customer satisfaction, service quality, and overall profitability.
2. Provide support and guidance to dealers, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving their development through training, resources, and best practices sharing.
3. Develop performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming dealers, setting clear targets and follow-up mechanisms.
Implement and Ensure Compliance with Dealer Standards:
1. Establish and enforce dealer standards across all operations, ensuring consistency and adherence to set guidelines, policies, and quality expectations. Conduct regular audits and provide support to ensure alignment with these standards.
Contract Management:
1. Identify dealers that are underperforming or misaligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
2. Make recommendations and lead the process for contract termination when performance standards are not met, ensuring a smooth transition that minimizes disruption to business operations.
3. Maintain a detailed record of dealer agreements and regularly review contract renewals, extensions, or terminations.
4. Conduct regular market analysis to identify areas of opportunity and potential gaps in dealer coverage.
5. Develop and execute strategies for network expansion in high-potential regions or market segments.
Relationship Building:
1. Foster strong relationships with key dealer stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for escalations, negotiations, and long-term planning.
2. Act as a liaison between dealers and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment on goals and expectations.
3. Represent the company at industry events, dealer meetings, and conferences.
Are you the new colleague we are looking for?
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
· 10+ years of experience in dealer network management, preferably within construction equipment or related industries.
· Fluent in English and one other language (French, German, or Italian).
· Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
· Ability to work independently.
· Travel 60% of the time with regular visits to the HQ (Tessenderlo).
· Proven ability to analyze performance data and take strategic action.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship management.
