Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategies to establish and enhance the company's customs clearance capability.
2. Oversee the customs clearance process for all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with local customs regulations and requirements.
3. Manage customs clearance documentation and procedures, including tariff classifications, valuation, and duty calculations.
4. Liaise with customs authorities, customs agents, and other relevant parties to resolve customs-related issues and ensure timely clearance of goods.
5. Stay informed about changes in customs regulations, tax laws, and rules, and update internal processes and procedures accordingly.
6. Train and educate staff on customs clearance processes and requirements.
7. Analyze customs clearance data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes.
8. Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of customs clearance activities.
Requirements:
1. Completed degree in business administration, customs or similar.
2. Relevant professional experience (customs, trade compliance and logistics).
3. In-depth knowledge of foreign trade / customs law (regulations of the preferential origin of goods, import, export, export control and sanction list screening).
4. Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a high level of initiative and creative drive.
5. Project management, coordination and participation in international (project) teams.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills.
7. Fluent in French, English and Chinese would be a plus.
