As a Marketing Specialist, you play a dual role within our Ecommerce and Marketing department. On one hand, you bring regional expertise, translating business priorities into effective marketing strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration with sales teams and aligning with overall business objectives. On the other hand, you contribute to broader, multi-regional projects, leveraging your skills to drive growth through ecommerce.
Your role and responsibilities
1. Act as the single point of contact for marketing in your region, owning the marketing action plan and managing the allocated regional budget.
2. Develop and execute an e-commerce-first strategy for your region, ensuring the right content on the e-commerce platform is delivered at the right time and place for maximum impact.
3. Develop a deep understanding of the Eastern European market, regional trends, competition and customer networks.
4. Drive multi-regional projects, ensuring effective communication with marketing colleagues and key business stakeholders.
5. Collaborate closely with Centers of Excellence & Marketing Excellence to integrate customer-centric strategies into regional marketing plans.
6. Engage with your target audience by organizing and participating in local sales events & visits, while actively expanding the regional customer database.
7. Analyze, track and report the performance of marketing activities, continuously optimizing strategies to maximize ROI, customer growth and profitability.
How to succeed / Your profile
8. Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a digital marketing role with focus on e-commerce sales and merchandising. B2B experience is a plus.
9. Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of Dutch and Eastern European languages is a plus.
10. Proven experience in e-commerce merchandising, including optimizing product listings, implementing promotional strategies, cross-selling and improving the customer journey.
11. Affinity with the technical sector and products is an advantage.
12. Affinity with the Eastern European market and culture is a plus.
13. Solid understanding of marketing tactics, best practices and hands-on experience with marketing tools (e.g., Selligent, Salesforce, Excel, Tableau).
14. Analytical mindset with a strong ability to interpret marketing metrics and assess campaign performance.
15. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and quality.
16. Problem-solving attitude, proactive mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to push back when needed.
17. Willingness to travel a few times a year to engage with customers and business stakeholders.
