Business Unit Leader Samples & Consulting
We are eyetec, a European reference in providing services and equipment for the pharmaceutical sector. To expand our service offering and professionalize our organization, we established a dedicated Business Unit focused on 'Samples & Consulting.'
You'll join a small team of curious employees who plan their day with flexibility and work based on trust. We're looking for someone to lead this unit.
Responsibilities:
* Develop a forward-looking plan aligned with eyetec's strategy.
* Translate this plan into concrete actions and ensure follow-up.
* Build and execute a business development plan.
* Establish and maintain strong networks.
* Monitor and adjust the financial performance of your Business Unit.
* Create and manage the departmental budget.
* Report to the owners of eyetec.
Day-to-Day Operations:
* Oversee all commercial and operational aspects of your Business Unit.
* Ensure that requests are promptly translated into orders, deliveries, and invoicing.
* Manage client and supplier relationships.
* Mediate in case of complaints.
* Contribute expertise by participating in projects.
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve quality.
Bigger Picture:
* Actively promote safety and prevention.
* Provide and review marketing content.
* Uphold an HR policy (recruitment, evaluations).
* Introduce eyetec to new clients.
* Prepare and review contracts.
* Take management responsibilities within the ISO quality system.
Requirements:
* A university degree with affinity for scientific, numerical, and financial topics.
* At least 10 years of relevant work experience (preferably in a pharmaceutical environment).
* Solid knowledge of GxP (Good Practices).
* Familiarity with continuous improvement methods like Lean and Six Sigma.
* Proficiency in Dutch, English, and French.
* Financial experience, including budgeting and P&L management.
* Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry in Belgium and Europe.
Leadership Qualities:
* At least 5 years of management-level leadership experience.
* Ability to switch between the 'big picture' and daily challenges.
* Analytical, punctual, proactive, and naturally structured approach.
* Quick response to organizational needs.
* Excellent communication skills for motivating and negotiating.
* Enthusiasm to inspire clients and employees alike.

Location:
Some remote work is possible. Our clients are typically in Belgium, with some international customers in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
