About the Role
As the Supply Chain Business Partner Sustainability, your role consists of 3 core responsibilities:
1. Managing and developing the Open Chain for sustainable growth
2. Governance of the end-2-end supply chain of Open Chain
3. Leading the S&OP cross-functional process
You will work with various stakeholders, both internal (commercial, global supply chain, financial, customer care) and external. You will add value by mapping the strategic goals of the Open Chain to achievable processes within Barry Callebaut, seeking sustainable solutions for growth.
You will steer the end-to-end supply chain, from bean to end product, by capturing the correct demand signal & business performance. You will implement and manage a solid governance model, enabling the different planning teams to secure flawless execution.
In short, you will be the manager of the “Sustainable to Bean” model and contribute to a more sustainable cocoa and chocolate future.
Key Responsibilities Include
Management E2E Supply Chain
1. Manage the complete E2E supply chain of the Open Chain, coordinating with global and regional planning teams to secure timely raw material availability, excellent service levels, and minimal waste.
2. Act as a spokesperson of the Open Chain inside Barry Callebaut, building impact to further develop the sustainable Open Chain.
3. Guide planning teams using your strong experience in operational planning and S&OP processes.
4. Redesign the Open Chain for a more sustainable future, considering future ambitions or market realities.
5. Understand how each link impacts the total chain to manage the Open Chain's future development.
Demand
1. Coordinate & validate the monthly planning cycle of global and regional teams (cocoa, chocolate), taking ownership for final numbers.
2. Challenge assumptions using strong data-based analysis to ensure realism.
3. Analyze & govern demand vs supply, proposing optimized demand patterns.
4. Develop accurate reporting to anticipate future constraints.
5. Work with business partners on risks and opportunities, providing context beyond the numbers.
6. Assist planning teams in improving forecast efficiency.
7. Lead the volume budgeting process for your geographical area.
About You
1. Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, economics, or finance.
2. 5-10 years experience in integrated supply chain, ideally in planning and managing a complex portfolio.
3. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, APO, BW reporting) is a plus.
4. Experience managing complex supply chain processes and stakeholders from various functions and seniority levels.
5. Strong project management, analytics, communication, and collaboration skills.
6. Ability to balance day-to-day detail with long-term strategic view.
7. Interest in contributing to a sustainable, fair chocolate world.
8. Strong team player, capable of managing a complex supply chain with multiple stakeholders.
9. Positive and agile mindset, focused on continuous improvement and embracing change.
10. Integrity and courage to communicate challenges proactively.
11. Strong commercial acumen.
