Customer Advisory Senior Enterprise Architect
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Customer Advisory Enterprise Architect (EA) works closely with sales SAP organizations and SAP Ecosystem to define the account strategy. The EA Advisor is responsible for bridging the gap between the customer’s business strategy and relevant solutions through crafting the to-be business and solution architectures and designing a transformation roadmap at the enterprise level to facilitate the customer’s adoption of Cloud-based architectures. He/she is the trusted advisor for the customer to achieve their desired to-be SAP Enterprise Architecture.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS
Account Planning & Architecture Management Responsibilities
1. Supports the assessment of current customer solutions from SAP and potential areas of opportunity for faster solution adoption & consumption, as well as footprint expansion.
2. Engages with customers to support sales cycles throughout the Customer Value Journey as an integral member of the SAP account team.
3. Drives business and IT architecture definitions to ensure consistency, cooperation, and alignment with SAP organizations, the customer, and partners.
4. Provides a linkage from the customer to SAP product development leadership.
Creating an SAP Architecture Vision for the Customer
5. Supports building customer demand through appropriate thought leadership positioning.
6. Understands customer’s business models with industry reference architecture focus.
7. Understands customer’s current enterprise landscape and future needs.
8. Drives the positioning of standard cloud architectures (plug & play) leveraging standard cloud solutions.
9. Positions appropriate hyper scaler architecture platforms for the delivery model.
Building Key Customer Architecture Deliverables: Business & Solution Architecture, Target State, Transformation Roadmap
10. Drives business architecture and capability mapping to solution design.
11. Ensures IT feasibility of the business capabilities mapping to SAP solution architecture.
12. Supports customer cloud transformation roadmap definition (business and application focus).
13. Drives customer cloud/hybrid transformation roadmap definition (standard cloud application and technology focus).
Being a Trusted Enterprise Architecture Advisor for the Customer
14. Aligns living roadmap with current adoption/solution consumption.
15. Supports living roadmap governance & adaptation based on evolution of customer needs and SAP solutions.
16. Supports risk analysis and provide guidance/trade-offs where appropriate.
17. Reviews & supports customer value/business outcome realization based on targets.
18. Drives solution expansion by highlighting value & linkages to the broader SAP Portfolio.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
19. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required, MBA or equivalent degree required from accredited university preferred.
20. At least 5+ years of relevant experience preferably on SAP landscape
21. Experience with software/IT organizations as an IT Architecture or Enterprise Architecture Advisor and/or specific expertise with software solutions through Solution Management, Sales, Presales, Adoption/Consumption, Consulting or Business Development, demonstrating successful outcomes over multiple years.
22. Recognized as a trusted advisor within SAP and/or the market.
23. Knowledge of Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/ PaaS models and Cloud-based commerce/ business networks.
24. Capable of leveraging a professional network in the market to drive pipeline and revenue growth for SAP.
25. Proven track record of success.
26. Fluency in English; any other language an asset.
27. Fluency in French and/or Dutch is desirable.
