Are you ready to make an impact on challenginginternational projects at a leading company in the chemical industry? Oleon islooking for a motivated international project manager to lead ambitious andinnovative corporate engineering projects, supporting our sites in Belgium,Germany, France, the UK, the US, Malaysia & Brazil as they reach new levelsof excellence.
1. You will manage a variety of projects, including building new installations, optimizing process safety, or revamping existing facilities.
This includes overseeing greenfield and retrofit projects, with responsibility for each phase from concept to realization, ensuring functionality, deadlines, and budget adherence.
2. You will assemble and lead teams of internal and external experts. Your guidance and support will help ensure that teams perform at their best.
3. You will ensure all projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations, conducting thorough testing and validation to guarantee project integrity.
4. Acting as the main point of contact, you will manage client and stakeholder expectations, facilitate clear communication, and align project objectives.
5. You will champion the implementation of new technologies and innovative solutions, enhancing project efficiency and safety.
6. You will work closely with our parent company, Avril, to implement group procedures and best practices. You will also maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, status updates, and post-project evaluations.
Who are we looking for?
You'll succeed if:
7. You hold a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree and have several years of experience in project engineering management within an international setting, preferably in the chemical industry.
8. You possess a comprehensive understanding of project management, including budgeting, scope management, and team leadership.
9. Your strong interpersonal skills enable effective collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
10. You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch, French or German, Portuguese is an asset.
11. You are willing to travel to various Oleon sites (30%-40%).
12. Your entrepreneurial spirit ensures efficient problem-solving.
13. You have a strong sense of responsibility and flexible and team-oriented mindset.
