RTD.H.DEP.IT in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high quality corporate solutions/information systems for the Research and Innovation Family, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies.
In close collaboration with other Commission services and its customers, the RTD.H.DEP.IT builds and operates solutions in the areas of grants, experts and procurement management.
With this request, the Common IT service department seeks one Application / Cloud Architect (ACA), with relevant experience and expertise in the context of databases and datawarehouses.
The selected candidate will join a small team in charge of the eGrants Data and Results reporting activities. His/Her activities will focus on Research and Innovation programmes (aka CORDA) and on non Research and Innovation programmes.
The candidate will focus, as Application Architect to the review and upgrade of the current DataWarehouse, database and ETL architectures
Below are the details of your role and requirements.
Your role:
• Review of the architecture of existing systems.
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
• Review of datawarehouse architecture.Design, review and development of datawarehouse architecture components
• Production of datawarehouse architecture documents, design and analysis models, implementation models.
• Follow up of the data analysis and data modelling.
• Documentation of the technical implementations.
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
• Provide assistance or support in the resolution of production issues and data quality issues
• Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting.

Who we think you are:
* At least 12 years of outstanding experience with ORACLE, ORACLE advanced PL/SQL (advanced cursors, advanced exception handling, advanced database triggers, dynamic SQL/PL/SQL), PL/SQL procedures and packages, performance tuning and Microsoft SQL server DB, and demonstrable experience with ORACLE external procedures, Flashback features, Publish-Subscribe Model, Microservices Architecture, Sagas APIs, Lock-Free Reservation, Sessionless Transactions, Edition-Based Redefinition, Transaction Guard, DDL Change Notification.
