Introduction
Our client, an international market player, develops and produces integrated high-end smart home technology/home automation solutions (lighting, security, climatization, etc.). Craftsmanship, high-quality, design, innovation, and user-friendliness are crucial to them. Due to their passion for the product and their determination, they have won several prestigious international design awards.
To meet their further national and international growth and development ambitions, they created a new role for a Finance & Controlling Director.
In this role, you are responsible for developing the financial strategy of the company that supports the overall business objectives to realize further growth and internationalization of the organization.
* You oversee the company's financial, accounting, controlling, and legal & tax activities, including budgeting, reporting, treasury, cash pooling, credit management, auditing, etc.
* You are responsible for the consolidation of the financial results across different countries & entities.
* You take the lead in creating and implementing accurate and new reporting processes. You will develop and optimize financial and operational reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIs.
* You identify, acquire, and implement systems and processes to provide critical financial and operational information (gross margin analysis by product/category, contribution margin analysis, sales and marketing controlling, etc.) for the organization to support business steering.
* You will collaborate with different internal stakeholders and departments and develop partnerships to drive performance that aligns with organizational goals and strategies.
* You maintain contacts and relationships with third parties, including banks, tax authorities, accountants, and lawyers.
* You assist the Management in the successful growth of the organization, including capital and fundraising. You support the international expansion by setting up structures, functions, and processes across multiple jurisdictions.
* You have 4 team members and report directly to the CEO and the private equity partner.
Profile
* You obtained a Master’s degree combined with a relevant track record of a minimum of 3 years within a similar role.
* Experience within a fast-paced, strong growing environment is strongly required.
* You have a strong financial and controlling background - understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow management, general finance, and budgeting.
* You have strong people management skills combined with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving, and “can do” approach. You are able to interact, liaise, and create buy-in at all levels both internally and externally.
* You combine a strategic vision with interest in and attention for the operational business in all its aspects.
* You combine a solid analytical and pragmatic mindset and vision with a strong team-oriented leadership style.
* You speak fluently Dutch and English; French is a strong plus.
