Sr. Embedded Software Engineer (Customer Success Team)
Drive customer success by supporting our customers from project inception to mass production on the Qorvo IoT solutions. Your key responsibilities are:
* Firmware Development: Design and write embedded software (applications) for a variety of IoT devices, ranging from small standalone examples to comprehensive reference applications.
* Customer Expertise: Serve as the primary expert to our customers on Qorvo IoT chips and standards, including IEEE 802.15.4, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), Zigbee, Thread, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
* Collaborative Development: Work closely with engineering teams from corporate OEMs as they develop their IoT applications, guiding them through the entire process from prototyping to mass production.
* Customer Support: Focus primarily on our European customers, providing core expertise on our software and standards.
* Technical Troubleshooting: Address reported bugs by reproducing issues and conducting initial investigations.
* Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with our marketing team during the pre-sales phase, offering technical insights and support to ensure customer needs are met.
Your efforts are highly visible in the product and make the difference for our customers, including major US and EU operators, consumer electronics manufacturers and other worldwide recognized technology leaders.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in embedded C programming, with a strong understanding of multiple microcontroller platforms, particularly ARM Cortex-M.
* Technical Skills: Proficient with various development tools (Keil, IAR, GCC, make, CMake) and embedded Linux, including kernel driver development and userspace applications in C.
* Debugging Proficiency: Experienced in co-debugging software and hardware issues using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital multimeters.
* Customer-Focused: Comfortable in a customer-oriented environment, with a natural ability to anticipate and address customer needs.
* Communication Skills: Excellent command of English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. You should be confident in engaging with customers and conveying technical information clearly.
* Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel in Europe occasionally (up to 10%) to support customer engagements.
* Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with IoT standards like Ultra-Wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, or Bluetooth is a significant advantage.
