Role Overview:
As a Managing Consultant specialising in Climate Change, you will lead projects that help our clients develop and implement effective climate strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding organizations towards reducing their carbon footprint and enhancing climate resilience. Additionally, you will play a key role in business development, expanding our client base and fostering long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage climate change projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
2. Provide expert advice on climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
3. Develop and implement climate action plans that align with clients' business goals and regulatory frameworks.
4. Conduct climate risk assessments and audits, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate climate considerations into core business processes.
6. Mentor and support junior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
7. Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in climate science and policy, sharing insights with clients and the team.
8. Drive business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and expanding our client portfolio.
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
10. Represent the company at industry events and conferences, enhancing our visibility and reputation.
11. Cooperate closely with partners, ensuring alignment and collaboration on key projects and initiatives.
12. Facilitate international collaboration, working with global teams and stakeholders to drive climate initiatives across borders.
Qualifications:
1. For Belgium, you typically need to be a Dutch speaker or a French speaker, with fluent English proficiency. In the Netherlands, you need to be a Dutch speaker, with fluent English proficiency.
2. Advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Climate Science, or a related field.
3. Experience in climate change consulting.
4. Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering impactful results.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Passion for climate action and a commitment to driving positive change.
8. Experience in business development, with a demonstrated ability to generate new business and build lasting client relationships.
9. Ability to work closely with partners, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
10. Experience in international collaboration, with the ability to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
11. Expertise in carbon accounting, GHG (Greenhouse Gas) inventories, SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative), decarbonization strategies, climate risk assessment, and CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) reporting.
