We are looking for a Senior Technical Delivery Manager for our IT department in Erembodegem.
Your role: The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for the end to end delivery of technical solutions that optimize business processes, maximize staff efficiency, and align with business requirements. Direct report to the CIO.
Responsibilities/tasks
* Technical knowledge:
o Deep understanding of software development and system architectures;
o Familiarity with coherent UX, APIs, and Integrations;
o Promote consistent architectural principles to maintain scalability, security, and maintainability across projects.
* Project Management:
o Ability to translate business/functional requirements into technical breakdowns for developers;
o Ability to define and report on project scope, timelines, and deliverables;
o Identify and anticipate risks, changes, or other factors that would impact delivery or budget;
o Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
* Talent Recommendation:
o Identify and recommend talent based on project needs and technical requirements;
o Advocate for a quality over quantity approach, prioritizing expertise over team size.
* Communication:
o Act as the bridge between business and technical teams;
o Clear and effective regular communication with senior executives, developers, and project stakeholders;
o Ensuring adherence to established processes, methodologies, quality standards, and company policies.
Not required:
* Development:
o Should understand architectural and code principles but does not act as an architect nor developer;
o No ownership of designing APIs, data models, or infrastructure components;
o May review code, but not expected to write or otherwise maintain code.
* Not a customer facing role in the sense of sales or support;
* May engage for status updates but not responsible for direct customer satisfaction.
* Budget tracking:
o Not responsible for financial planning, forecasting, or cost approvals;
o May provide input on budgets but does not manage them directly.
* Hiring:
o Provides input on team needs but does not drive hiring processes;
o Not responsible for recruitment or managing career development.
Job requirements/skills
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
2. 7+ years of experience in managing the delivery of technical projects or software solutions;
