TROUBLE SHOOTER ENGINEER (Services) (M/F)
The Trouble Shooter Engineer (Services) (m/f) is responsible for providing technical and fault finding expertise for the TRAXX locomotive type of rolling stock at Bruges, Benelux to support the service delivery, availability, and reliability of the fleet. Furthermore, you analyze the information and ensure that the necessary corrective measures are taken. You also start preventive actions.
Responsibilities:
1. Being part of, and providing technical support to the autonomous teams in the way of fault finding expertise and assistance with train repair activities.
2. Collate and analyze data from system event downloads to identify any failure trends / anomalies.
3. Liaise with Fleet Engineers and provide technical assistance where required.
4. Identifying and rectifying faults in accordance with the safety regulations.
5. Guaranteeing and optimizing the execution of the interventions by means of self-checking and functional testing.
6. Analyzing the information and carrying out the necessary corrective measures.
Planning:
Assist in the pre-work planning of all shifts working closely with the Manager, by providing detailed information of planned work (times, number of man hours etc.) to be carried out.
Training:
Support development of the skills knowledge transfer and training within autonomous teams.
EHS:
Understand and abide by safety notices, rules and regulations, and follow safe working practices compliant with local standards. Comply with all EHS protection and AZDP measures.
Qualifications:
1. Training in electrical installation technique / electromechanics or equivalent through experience.
2. Experience in troubleshooting, testing, commissioning is a must.
3. Knowledge of electricity, air conditioning, pneumatics or hydraulics.
4. Ability to escalate arising issues in a timely manner and communicate progress of operations.
5. Willingness to share suggestions for improvement.
6. Autonomy, customer friendliness, inquisitiveness, and sense of initiative are essential.
7. Fluency in Dutch and English, knowledge of German is a plus.
