Summary
As a Category Buyer at DEME Group, we currently have an open position in the following procurement category: MRO & Miscellaneous Consumables. In this role, you will manage procurement processes, develop and maintain supplier networks, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with our procurement standards. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and the Category Manager, you will support the implementation of sourcing strategies. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing the supply chain, achieving cost-efficiency, and upholding our commitment to quality, performance, safety, and sustainability.

7. Develop and manage a network of reliable and financially stable suppliers;
8. Lead negotiations, draft and manage contracts, framework agreements, price lists, and service level agreements;
9. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and participate in cross-functional teams;
10. Oversee high-value purchases with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction;
11. Conduct market research and stay updated on state-of-the-art technology and industry trends;
12. Ensure compliance with sourcing procedures and contracts;
13. Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary;
14. Identify opportunities for optimizing supply chain processes and achieving synergies;
15. Provide regular updates and reports to the Category Manager.
16. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Applied Economics, or related fields;
17. Relevant experience in procurement, preferably with exposure to various categories;
18. Strong commercial, negotiation, and contracting skills;
19. Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel (and PowerPoint);
20. Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Dutch is a plus;
21. Team player with a positive attitude, open mindset, and hands-on approach;
