We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Support Engineer (2nd Line) to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As a 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for complex IT issues and will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the banks IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of technologies while providing outstanding service to internal users. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in cutting edge technology in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Support: Provide 24/7 support to internal and external users, troubleshooting and resolving escalated IT issues as the 2nd line of support.
* Maintenance & Testing: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, system tests, and follow procedures to ensure systems are validated and operational.
* Incident Management: Analyze IT problems, document incidents, and propose effective solutions to improve system reliability and processes.
* Security Oversight: Ensure external technicians comply with security protocols and oversee their access and movements within the banks systems.
* User Support: Offer timely, friendly support to users by using available documentation and escalate complex issues to 3rd line support when necessary.
* Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance knowledge and maintain high levels of service quality.

1. Windows Server & Workstation, O365, and Azure Cloud basics
2. Linux, Solaris
3. VMWare & VCS
4. Networking (Cisco Nexus, Paloalto), Firewalls, and BigIP (F5)
5. SAN / Storage (IBM Storwize, Flash, SVC, Brocade DCX SAN)
6. Backup Systems (Veritas NetBackup, Oracle SL4000)
7. Security knowledge (PKI, Certificates)
8. Monitoring Tools: Experience with tools like Nagios, Icinga, MonitorNow, Jaws, and Incident track
