As our new Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical skills to ensure the successful performance of our jobs and response to requests related to the Hot Tapping & Plugging equipment, as well as coordinating day-to-day HT&P service projects as defined by the management within the company policies and procedures.
Your key duties will be to:
* Collaborate with Sales and Commercial departments to prepare technical content for project quotes, ensuring practicality and profitability.
* Analyze technical specifications for pre-order jobs and generate Technical Response Forms outlining project requirements.
* Support Inside Sales with customer inquiries related to owned TDW equipment.
* Establish project-specific equipment lists and monitor equipment availability using relevant systems.
* Develop method statements and create supporting stack-up drawings.
* Coordinate with Project Managers to monitor workshop progress and meet project deadlines.
* Assist in the design and fabrication of special equipment or modifications in collaboration with the Engineering department.
* Monitor equipment quality standards, investigate issues, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
* Support HT&P Field Technicians in an advisory and operational capacity to ensure job completion within corporate guidelines, with minimal delay and cost, and maximum safety.
* Conduct on-site pre-job field audits/evaluations as needed to address technical issues and provide solutions to clients.
* Stay updated on new developments, policies, and procedures related to equipment and operational/maintenance techniques, implementing changes as necessary.
* Ensure compliance with established quality control/assurance procedures for all Application Engineering processes.
You may be our ideal candidate if:
* You own a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* You have strong technical, practical, and collaboration skills.
* You are an excellent organizer, and details have no secret for you.
* You are willing to travel up to 15% of your time.
* You are fluent in French & in English, both written & oral.
