You will be working closely with clients to understand their objectives and implement strategies that drive sustainable growth.
Here's a glimpse into what you'll be doing:
* Collaborate with clients: Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
* Develop business strategies: Create and execute development strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships.
* Design and implement initiatives: Lead the design and execution of finance transformation initiatives aligned with clients' strategic priorities and regulatory requirements, including IFRS and Sustainable Finance (e.g., EU Taxonomy, CSRD, etc.).
* Assess, diagnose, and recommend: Conduct assessments, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions to enhance finance processes, systems, data, and organization.
* Support ERP implementations: Assist in the implementation of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) to streamline finance operations and enhance data analytics with solutions such as AnaPlan or Tagetik.
* Thought leadership: Develop thought leadership content, methodologies, and tools to differentiate the practice and enhance its value proposition.
* Build relationships: Foster relationships with external partners and leverage BDO's network to stay updated on trends and innovations in finance transformation.
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across Business Practices to create a real impact for our clients.
What do you bring to the table?
We're looking for someone who embodies excellence in finance transformation. Here's what you'll need to succeed:
* Relevant experience: 5-8 years of experience in finance transformation consulting, preferably in the financial services industry.
* Educational background: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Language proficiency: Native level in Dutch or French with strong proficiency in the other language, complemented by excellent English skills.
* Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and management reporting, with an understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Leadership: Experience in managing junior team members and developing talent.
* Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Business development: Proven track record in supporting business development, including lead generation and proposal development.
* Consulting skills: Strong consulting capabilities such as project management, problem-solving, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
* ERP experience: Experience with ERP system implementations such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work in different locations as needed.
