Job Summary
The Business Intelligence & Analytics Specialist at Terumo Europe plays a crucial role in supporting the EMEA TIS business by delivering actionable insights and driving transformations in Terumo direct sales across the EMEA region. This role involves issuing daily reports, promptly addressing any issues that arise, and building comprehensive reports using digital tools. As a Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist, you are responsible for conducting training sessions, ensuring that they are well-organized and effectively delivered, leveraging strong communication and teamwork skills.
In addition to reporting, you will support other pillars such as strategy, salesforce, and key account managers by providing analytical tool support to help implement strategies. The aim of the reports is to push actionable insights at the business unit level, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Data for these reports is sourced from a wide variety of databases, including SAP, Excel, and other tools. You are expected to stay updated on the latest developments in analytics and continuously improve reporting standards and user engagement.
Job Responsibilities
Data Management:
1. Ensure our current market database is accurate & continuously improved with better automated data collection
2. Identify/document & monitor data quality problem within a wide variety of databases (SAP/salesforce/…)
3. Optimize existing data models, leverage Power BI to streamline and improve data modelling. Implement best practices for data architecture
4. Provide general support to other commercial pillars
Reporting Maintenance & Development:
1. Lead the development of data-driven solutions (Power BI reports, Power BI dashboard, MS flows, MS apps…) tailored to the specific needs of different departments Marketing and Sales Management, Sales Enablement Team, Pricing, Digital, Finance, Supply Chain…:
5. Report on a daily basis using Power BI
6. Gather user stories and requirements during the design process together with stakeholders
7. Understand and recommend improvements for business processes to ensure accurate and relevant data analysis
8. Design and maintain robust data models to ensure tracking of KPIs
9. Create visualizations that highlight critical trends and metrics, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions
10. Generate ad hoc analysis and reports for Sales other commercial pillars
2. Trouble Shooting
11. Actively monitor and quickly react to issues related to data accuracy, report performance, and system errors
12. Conduct regular audits of reports and dashboards to identify discrepancies, maintain consistency, and ensure alignment with business requirements
13. Collaborate with IT to address any issues from data sources and technical improvements
14. Proactively optimize reports by refining queries, improving visuals, and incorporating user feedback
3. Improving Existing data solutions
15. Implementation of changes and developing new reports; either independently or with stakeholders
16. Seeking modern solutions to improve efficiency of existing reports: develop automation solutions and improve data modelling
17. Responsible for communication to user community, TIS stakeholders, the governance body and ICT support functions including consultants
18. Responsible for following up and giving guidance to end users to improve level of report adoption
4. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to translate business needs into actionable data solutions, driving collaboration and efficiency
Hands-on Training
19. Develop, organize and provide hands-on support and training on a quarterly basis to local teams to enhance their understanding and use of analytics tools to leverage data effectively
20. Create user-friendly training materials to support continuous learning
21. Lead workshops and hands-on sessions to enhance proficiency with reporting tools like Power BI
22. Monitor training effectiveness and provide ongoing support
23. Lead the annual user survey feedback process for reporting
Business/Advanced Analytics:
24. Analyse, evaluate and report sales and CRM data to increase sales profitability, productivity and commercial excellence.
25. Highlight insights and improvement opportunities from both architectural and visualization perspectives
26. Provide actionable insights to the business based on data from various and combined sources (SAP/CRM/...)
27. Experiment with the latest reporting features and techniques to adopt best practices and continuously improve reporting standards
Profile Description
Education and experience:
28. Experience with SAP and CRM Salesforce
29. Understanding in Power BI, Excel and other Microsoft Word applications

30. Ability to co-ordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying size and scope
31. Ability to work in an agile delivery method and capable of working in project teams

36. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience; experience in delivering training and facilitating workshops is a plus
37. Being able to simplify complex matters and make it understandable for users in the field
Technical Capabilities
38. Ability perform analysis, organize data and create reports from various sources
39. Ability to perform analysis such as regression, cannibalization, and probability modelling is a plus
40. Ability to capture and document business and reporting requirements from multiple sources
41. Ability to co-ordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying size and scope

42. Ideally located in Belgium
43. Fluent in English, other European languages are a plus
