CAM Engineering Manager - Battery Recycling Industry

Role Overview:
As the CAM Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the conceptualisation, design, and optimisation of manufacturing processes for cathode materials within the battery recycling industry.
You will play a crucial role in driving innovation, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in process engineering, particularly in the development of manufacturing processes for cathode materials.
3. Strong knowledge of automation systems, control systems, and equipment design.
4. Experience in powder handling within industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, or other relevant sectors.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
6. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Concept Development: Lead the conceptualisation and development of the manufacturing process for cathode materials, considering material characteristics, process flow, equipment selection, and safety considerations.
Basic Design: Generate the basic design of the manufacturing process, including process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, material handling systems, utilities requirements, and control strategies.
Equipment Selection and Design: Identify and select appropriate equipment and machinery for the manufacturing process. Collaborate with equipment suppliers, mechanical engineers, and vendors to design and optimise equipment specifications, with a focus on powder handling experience in sensitive industries.
Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency improvement, considering factors such as yield, quality, cost, and environmental impact. Propose innovative solutions and modifications to improve process performance.
Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards throughout the manufacturing process, particularly regarding powder handling in sensitive industries.
