About the role
To support our development objectives from design to manufacturing, we are looking for an Automation Specialist to join our Engineering team. You will be responsible for the programming of our fully automated production units, working closely with cross-functional teams.
* Maintenance and continuous improvement of the PLC and HMI code for all the Mg-Flow units
* Maintenance and continuous improvement of instrumentation (technology watch)
* Remotely connect to the PLCs and HMIs to push updated of the code via SINEMA Remote connect and maintain this connection tool as well
* Help the engineering team in the selection of the instrumentation for the new processes
* Perform modifications on the various equipment and programs used for the automation and archiving (R, Node Red, Wide, Python, Influx DB...)
* Work on and improve the OT solutions already existing
* Ensure the proper data archiving for each MgFlow equipment and manage the back-ups of these Data
* Contact suppliers and commercial representatives for automation and instrumentation equipment
* Work on the data generated by the units to improve the reliability and the efficiency of the technology
* Develop the AI part of our process control
Desired Skills & Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Automation, Instrumentation or Electromechanics
* Experience: up to 3 years’experience in the industry in a similar or relevant function
* Automation & Programming: Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC (SCL language) and HMI development via TIA Portal
* oftware & Data Skills: Knowledge of programming languages such as TIA Portal, SCL object-oriented programming, R, Node-Red, Python, and SQL
* Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with instrumentation, electricity, pneumatics, and technical drawings (especially electrical diagrams)
Mindset & Soft Skills:
* Eager to learn and continuously develop new skills
* Handy, versatile, patient, and dedicated
* Self-starter with a strong objective-driven approach
* Team player, willing to collaborate across different departments
Languages: Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
