Mission
As Global Customs specialist you will be responsible for the global mapping, review, optimization and help controlling our business areas customs flows and set-up, in line with the Group’s and Business Area’s trade compliance policies. You assure that we adhere to all applicable international and national customs regulations and laws. You will be our reference on customs matters.
The Role
1. Advise & propose global customs strategies for import and export, in relation to customs authorities worldwide and our different flows
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures which assure trade compliant processes
3. Actively monitor and seek updates on regulatory changes to (inter)national customs regulations
4. Perform assessments within the resp. Business Area’s to identify business risks and process improvements
5. Facilitate the expansion of our organization by implementing fit-for-purpose customs processes and procedures, in line with customs regulations & internal flows
6. Map out and track our flows and operations in terms of customs, therefore you will also be in close contact with our distribution center(s) and logistic departments
7. Coach and train our colleagues in custom related matters within our Business Area
8. Perform internal audits on customs processes as well as our partners. Report findings to leadership and implement corrective actions
9. You will be part of the global trade compliance team Industrial Technique Business Area (ITBA) and cooperate with different internal and external parties (eg custom authorities, export control instances, consultants and others)
You will report to the Trade Compliance Lead ITBA.
What we expect
10. You have a Master degree
11. You have a first working experience relevant to this jobrole or you have gained specific knowledge during your education.
12. You can communicate fluently in Dutch and English (spoken and written). Other languages knowledge is a plus.
13. You are communicative and able to build long term professional relationships with your Atlas Copco colleagues as well as with external parties
14. You are proactive, always looking for a better solution and you make sure things get done
15. You are open to change, learn quickly and adapt easily to new technologies
16. You are result oriented and a go-getter
17. You are open and look for opportunities for savings in the customs context
