Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Project Delivery Engineer to join our team at Janssen Pharmaceutica in Belgium.
Main Responsibilities
* Facilitate breakthrough enhancements in the manufacturing process by developing business cases, scoping, designing, and implementing new process equipment and systems.
* Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Clinical Development, and Supply departments to support New Product Introductions in Beerse and Geel.
* Act as project delivery engineer at appropriate stages from inception to completion, including design and selection of engineering alternatives for complex production and processing equipment.
* Prepare project intakes, including scoping, business case analysis, alternatives assessments, and communicate the selected option and alternatives for project approval.
* Establish alignment with the project sponsor and align core and extended team members to deliver final project objectives.
* Lead the design, execution, and close-out of all project-related activities, including leading internal project resources and procurement of third-party contractors and suppliers.
Requirements
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent University degree in a Science, Technology, or Engineering field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
* Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
* An innovative drive to make a difference and achieve results, with a combination of analytical and technical skills to understand and solve complex issues.
* Ability to efficiently execute technology study work and optimization projects in both R&D/development and commercial production environments.
* Passionate about bringing innovative ideas, products, and services to life, demonstrating strong project management and change management skills.
* Flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and challenging timelines.
* An individual who feels that safety and quality are of paramount importance.
* Strong communication and social skills to lead and work together with colleagues across various levels of the organization.
* Coordination of and collaboration with a wide variety of internal and external resources, with strong networking skills.
* Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry guidelines specific to the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry.
* Proficient in English and Dutch (or willing to learn Dutch).
