This role involves a split of approximately 70% engineering tasks and 30% analysis work. Together with a talented team of security engineers and analysts that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission-critical network infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security, you:Monitor computer networks for security issues, using advanced security tools.Implement security tools and solutions according to the defined security roadmap.Operate & administer the security tools and solutions in place.Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.Work with the security architect to advance our capabilities and integrate existing security tooling.Provide advice to the ICT department on security matters and help enforce our corporate security policies and standards.Recommend how to fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.Collaborate with colleagues from other ICT competence teams in global projects.Keep abreast of information technology trends and security standards.Keep documentation on security solutions and tooling up to date.Create and maintain operational security procedures.You report to the Global Network & Security Team Lead.QualificationsMinimum qualifications include:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent by experience.A strong appetite to learn about information security technologies and ways of working is more important than experience.3-5 years of experience as a Network/System Administrator with experience in the following technical skills:Entry-level experience in security.Good understanding of firewalls, proxies, email security, antivirus solutions, Active Directory, Azure/O365, and different operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, types of Hypervisors).Some understanding of SIEM, vulnerability management, IDS/IPS, and security analytics concepts.Fundamental scripting knowledge in PowerShell and/or Python.Basic risk assessment skills.Strong analytical skills to combine data from various sources into an understandable model.Team player, open to collaborate within a multicultural and global context, with good communication skills in Dutch-English or French-English, both written and verbally.Proactive and entrepreneurial approach to spotting opportunities for optimization and formulating structural solutions.Willingness to travel occasionally, mainly in Europe.Additional InformationJoin Tessenderlo Group as a Security Engineer/Analyst to protect critical ICT infrastructure, advance security measures, and make a global impact.
