To strengthen ourResearch & Development Team, based in Nivelles, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Junior Regulatory Affairs Coordinator (VIE).
About the role
You will be a member of the Product Stewardship team, and develop your skills on how to navigate through the chemical regulations applied to lime substances. On a day-to-day basis, you will handle such technical tasks which will consequently helps to minimize the impacts of a product on the environment, health, and safety while maximizing its economic benefits. This VIE position will also be great opportunity for you to develop your professional network and gain insights on the functioning of an international company.
As a Junior Regulatory Affairs Coordinator (VIE)., you willreport to ourProduct Stewardship Coordinator. You will be responsible forassessing, controlling, and communicating products’ environmental, health and safety related effects throughout its lifecycle.
Your roleand responsibilities:
1. Gathering external data into SAP EHS (environment, health and safety) and Lisam systems and utilizing it as a tool to build and compose safety data sheet.
2. Reviewing what is available in our product portfolio, analyzing and confirming product innovation compositions,regulatory information as well as toxicological and ecotoxicological data.
3. Monitoring,summarizing and communicatingchemical regulatory developments.
4. Consolidating information related to safety hazards, andassisting the safety team on improving safety practices.
5. Being an active member of the team on day-to-day but also setting and achieving short-, mid- and long-term objectives.
6. In addition, supporting the Life Cycle assessment team on market intelligence and ad-hoc projects when necessary.
About you:
7. You hold a master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field.
8. You are interested to become one of the responsible people in the company contributing inminimizing the health, safety, environmental, and social impacts of a product and throughout itslifecycle.
9. You are capable to see the holistic view but also deep dive and analyze the details when needed.
10. You are eager learn and curious. You do not hesitate to ask questions and benefit the expertise of others around you which would be make you progressively more autonomous.
11. You can adapt and respond to requests, needs and changing regulations in an agile way, meeting the deadlines.
12. Technical skills in SAP, Excel, Power BI etc. are plus.
13. Full professional proficiency in English is a must, French is a plus.
14. You can start anytime between June-August 2024.
