Hermès Engineering is looking for an Actuarial Data Scientist to play a pivotal role in analyzing, modeling, and optimizing our insurance products. Combining actuarial expertise with data science skills, the successful candidate will develop predictive models, explore complex datasets, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
* Design and implement actuarial models to assess and manage risks using advanced statistical techniques.
* Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, correlations, and relevant insights.
* Use machine learning techniques to create predictive models that support business decisions.
* Develop scripts and tools to automate data analysis and modeling processes.
* Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and finance teams to align business strategies with data analysis outcomes.
* Present clear and concise reports to management, translating complex analyses into understandable recommendations.

This role requires you to have:
* Diploma in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in actuarial science with significant exposure to data science and machine learning.
* Mastery of actuarial tools (e.g., SAS, R) and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
You would benefit from having:
* Experience with Power BI
* Knowledge in developing statistical models and scoring models (PoD, LGD, etc.).
* Database management skills and handling large volumes of data.
* Good knowledge of Excel.
