Account Manager Automotive
Job content:
* Pursue new business opportunities based on the company’s strategic customer plan
* Securing new contracts: get RFQs, send quote letters, lead negotiations, and convince the customer to award new business to Punch Powertrain
* Manage the customer account with a focus on achieving total customer satisfaction while safeguarding Punch interests
* Be the voice of the customer: act as a key interface between Punch Powertrain and the customer, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
* Relationship management - develop and maintain a strong network at all levels, including top management within the customer organization.
* Deliver high-quality sales presentations with commercial and technical expertise.
* Collaborate with internal Sales and Engineering team members to support and coordinate specific tasks; participate in project meetings ensuring commercial actions are initiated and executed effectively.
* Keep the internal Punch Powertrain team informed of the latest customer developments and business opportunities. Advice Punch team on customer targets and competitive price setting
* Organize, coordinate, and facilitate customer visits
Your profile:
* Bachelor's or University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in Dutch, French and/or German is a plus.
* 3 to 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Account Manager in the Automotive industry.
* Passionate about automotive industry
* Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
* Basic understanding of RFIs, RFQs, quotes and contract negotiations
* Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships
* Clear and professional communication skills (written & verbal)
* Confidence in delivering sales presentations and engaging with customers
* Ability to promote and explain basic product benefits to customers (training provided)
* Strong teamwork skills to work across departments
* Ability to gather and report on market trends and competitor activity
* Eager to participate in strategic planning and pricing discussions
* Regular travelling to visit customers is a must
