Recently acquired by a Belgian private equity firm and its management, Curana is embarking on an ambitious growth plan, with a particular focus on the rapidly expanding premium e-bike segment.
To support this journey, we are seeking a Head of Sales & Product—an experienced, entrepreneurial leader passionate about bike technology. This role is a unique opportunity to drive growth, secure customer satisfaction, and shape innovative solutions in a sector where sustainability, mobility, technology, and passion converge.
Your Role
As Head of Sales & Product, you will:
1. Be a key member of the Executive Committee, contributing to the company’s strategy and decision-making.
2. Lead the Sales and Project Management Team, ensuring seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
3. Drive business development, building a robust pipeline of new projects and fostering strong client relationships to deliver topline growth.
4. Gather market insights to shape the product development roadmap and support innovation.
5. Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to prioritize projects and streamline operations.
Your Responsibilities
Sales & Project Management
1. Lead and manage the Sales and Project Management Team, with the potential to hire additional team members.
2. Improve team responsiveness and technical advisory capabilities.
3. Oversee internal coordination to ensure smooth project handling.
4. Guarantee customer satisfaction from project initiation to delivery.
Account & Business Development
1. Own client relationships, strategic planning, and account management.
2. Engage with clients at the product management, engineering, and design levels to understand their current and future needs.
3. Anticipate customer projects and proactively offer tailored solutions.
4. Act as a technical advisor to facilitate clients’ decision-making processes.
5. Build and maintain a robust project pipeline to drive topline growth.
Product Development Roadmap
1. Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities.
2. Engage external partners to stay at the forefront of technological advancements.
3. Collaborate with the CEO to define and validate the Product Development Roadmap with the Executive Committee.
4. Support product development projects to drive innovation and differentiation.
Intellectual Property & Compliance
1. Develop an IP strategy aligned with the product roadmap.
2. Oversee patent applications and ensure technical accuracy.
3. Ensure compliance, certification, and documentation of all products.
Your Background
1. 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in the bike industry.
2. Proven expertise in management, B2B sales, business development, and product development.
3. Experience conceptualizing custom-made solutions for international markets.
4. Fluent in Dutch and English (additional languages are a plus).
