Hybrid function (50/50) between the Corporate Environmental Sustainability Team and the QHSE Prequal & Tender team:
* to support the Corporate Environmental Sustainability Manager in maintaining Environmental Sustainability related Group management system certifications (CO2 performance ladder, ISO14001,…)
* to support the QHSE Prequal & Tender team in answering prequalification and tender requests by compiling the required QHSE prequalification and/or tender documentation.
Environnemental Sustainability Support :
* Overall coordination of the CO2 Performance ladder implementation within the concerned BESIX Group companies in the Benelux-France region. This includes amongst other tasks:
o organizing the periodic CO2 PL Steering Committee with the Business Units and BESIX Group entity CO2 PL Responsibles
o supporting the concerned Business Units and entity CO2 PL responsibles in the implementation of the CO2 PL data collection and reporting process. This includes training of internal stakeholders and acting as helpdesk.
o verification & validation of reported CO2 PL data
o drafting of the half-yearly consolidated CO2 PL progress report and dashboards to identify trends and patterns
o drafting of internal & external CO2 PL required communications
o providing internal training (BDA,…)
o maintaining the internal & external CO2 PL webpage
o progress monitoring of the BU and entity specific Energy & Carbon reduction programs.
o performing internal audits to ensure compliance with the latest version of the CO2 PL handbook
o participating in CO2 PL related (sector & innovation) initiatives
o compliance monitoring of CO2 PL requirements
Each BU and concerned BESIX Group company is responsible for the daily management of CO2 PL related requirements within their scope. The Environmental Sustainability & QHSE Tender officer will assist the BU Belgium-Lux / BESIX Environment Environmental Coordinator in the half-yearly CO2 PL data gathering and reporting.
* Assisting in the development of Environmental Sustainability Guidelines as part of the Corporate Environmental Sustainability Program
* Supporting the Business in answering to client specific GHG requests
QHSE Tender & Prequal Support
* To participate in tender kick-off meetings;
* To analyse the client QHSE documentation and QHSE prequel and tender requirements.
* To coordinate with the Prequal & Tender QHSE Manager in relation with the required QHSE documentation.
* To provide QHSE support and input to the tender team during the tender process to ensure the development of the best possible bid
* To prepare and compile the required QHSE tender documentation within the agreed deadlines;
* To transfer the QHSE tender documentation to the (project) HSE Advisor / (project) Quality Advisor for the obtained projects in order to ensure a smooth start-up phase of the new project;
This position is a fixed administrative position within the QHSE Department. Your working location is based in the Head Office in Brussels but occasional remote working is possible from our regional offices.
Qualifications
* You have a master's degree in sustainable development, environmental sciences
* Minimum 5 year experience in a similar function
* You are familiar with the principles and practices of sustainable development.
* Language: mandatory Dutch and English; French speaking is a plus
* Knowledge of sustainability rating & certification schemes (such as Ecovadis, ISO14064,….) is a plus.
* (Internal) Client-oriented
* Administrative/back-office oriented including data & reporting management
