The Data Scientist will be expected to have a very good mathematical and statistical understanding. Scripting skills are his main tool on a daily basis, so knowledge of programming languages and software development skills are mandatory. The primary work environment and activity of our team is linked to engineering; therefore, knowledge and understanding of physics, mechanics, electronics, or related fields is considered a big plus.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Collaborating with diverse teams to propose innovative ways to answer complex engineering challenges.
2. Actively contributing to the success of projects by sharing knowledge on best practices in data science.
3. Building strong, sustainable relationships to train and deploy machine learning models & AI.
4. Using statistical methods to analyze and generate useful insights from data.
5. Building, developing, and validating statistical and mathematical models.
6. Proposing innovative ways to answer complex engineering challenges.
Your Profile
At Capgemini Engineering, we’re looking for someone who:
1. Brings at least 3 years of experience in data scientist related activities.
2. Has good theoretical & practical knowledge in statistics.
3. Has experience developing computer vision models.
4. Is skilled in supervised and unsupervised machine learning (classification/clustering, regression, pattern).
5. Has experience with algorithm development and time series data analysis.
6. Possesses knowledge and understanding of Python, optionally C++ and R.
7. Is fluent in English; French and/or Dutch are an asset.
8. Holds a Master’s degree or PhD in applied Physics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
