We are looking for a logistics network & procurement specialist to onboard at Camfil Global within the RDC (regional design center) with special focus on the MCC BU.
Job description
Logistic Network responsibilities:
* Transport planning and analysis: Take up your role as logistics expert / advisor with a key focus on transportation of fresh activated carbon (incl impregnated versions) as well as used carbon, often categorized as hazardous waste within primarily western EU.
* Permit management: Support the European organization with advice, support and education on how to handle and optimize the logistics flow for mobile filters including guidance and follow-up on necessary permits to transport and operate within and between EU countries.
Procurement responsibilities:
* Fleet Strategy Definition: Setting up and maintaining a network of operators and/or drivers within the EU region, together with local teams (matrix organization). Focus on new installations as well as servicing / replacing existing clients in due time. Explore market opportunities, build a well over-thought strategy when it comes to transport ownership or partnering up with logistic service providers.
* Cost analysis & pre-sales: Deliver instrumental insights in breaking down the costs to operate certain contracts during the bidding and sales phase.
* Fleet & maintenance: full responsibility of units being rented to clients, including service and maintenance. There for building a supply base of technical services such as welding, painting, etc. would also be of significance.
Project execution & training:
* Participate in large project execution initiatives with regards to transporation
* Train / support local Camfil offices when needed
Counter-parts & colleagues:
You would be cooperating within Camfil’s growing team of business development managers, product managers, sister companies and sales teams. You would also work together with the corporate logistics and global sourcing teams.
Non limitative list of tasks:
* Review of RFQ’s, make recommendations – select and contract together with sales.
* Assessing and giving recommendations how to comply with the EU- and local regulations when it comes to transportation of active carbon, both fresh and used (i.e. dangerous goods and/or hazardous waste).
* Assessing and giving recommendations how to optimize the cost to transport active carbon, both fresh and used (i.e. hazardous waste).
* Keep track of mobile units, including quality assurance of the maintenance and repair operations of the mobile units.
* Be part of the team who recommend size and optimal solution based on: Product selection and model sizing, considering size, life time and opex (logistics costs).
* Preparation of technical offers when required.
* Be ready to contribute in client meetings for high profile projects or customers (when needed).
* Support the RDC team (both local and global) when needed with RDC-related activities.
Profile
* Your track record entails experience in international logistics coordination of transports and optimization of logistic flows
* You can rely upon a vast procurement experience: negotiating & setting up contracts is your bread & butter.
* You show a good feel for international commercial contracts, incl VAT and taxation rules.
* You are ERP savvy: i.e. D365, incl preparing templates.
* You are well organized and structured.
* You are a natural, proactive & clear communicator
* You show a high degree of reliability – timely & accurate execution of work entrusted
* You possess the ability to think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems
* You make sure to have a good helicopter perspective of a current situation and show the ability to plan ahead.
* You go above and beyond to understand customers’ requirements and expectations.

* You have a Master background or equal by experience.
* You speak fluently English & French. Knowledge of German & Dutch is a plus.
* You are willing to travel.
Experience in Transporting carbon (domestic and internationally) and waste (domestic and internationally, crossing borders) is considered to be a major plus.
