For our headquarter office in Waregem (Belgium), we are looking for a Compliance Expert Business Partner.
Your role and responsibilities
1. The Customs & Trade Compliance Expert Business Partner assists and provides support to the Global Customs & Trade Compliance Manager in protecting the TVH Parts Holding NV (TVH) reputation and integrity in terms of customs and trade compliance to sustain the TVH success.
2. Acting as a key compliance business partner in our major transformation project, shaping the solution landscape, including global trade management capabilities.
3. Assist in the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of key business processes across departments, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and create streamlined processes.
5. Identifying, naming, and analyzing possible in-scope customs and trade compliance requirements and risks as well as their impact on TVH and its stakeholders.
6. Respond to queries related to customs & trade compliance and activities of the organization.
7. Monitoring and reporting of customs & trade compliance related activities, actions, systems, and infringements in meeting the compliance requirements and the management of compliance risks.
8. Follow up on developments in regulations, rulings, policies, guidelines, and expectations globally.
9. Serve as a primary point of contact for customs- and compliance-related inquiries.
10. Coaching, giving training, supporting, and/or advising TVH staff members on meeting customs and trade requirements in carrying out their daily activities.
Your profile
1. Bachelor degree or equivalent by experience.
2. 2 - 3 years of experience and at least 2 years of experience in a customs and trade compliance related function.
3. Experience in legal analysis, compliance, risk management.
4. Knowledge of global customs regulations, trade compliance, and logistics processes.
5. Familiarity with trade compliance software and tools and/or ERP systems.
6. Good understanding of the functioning of processes and procedures.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
8. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
9. Knowledge of risk, internal control, internal audit, and monitoring techniques is considered a plus.
10. Fluent in Dutch & English both spoken and written, French is a plus.
