FPGA Design Engineer – Advancing Space Technology
Location: Belgium
Salary: €60,000 - €70,000
Hybrid Role - 3 days a week in office

Your Role:
* Design and develop VHDL code for satellite equipment, scientific instruments, or ground support equipment.
* Work closely with Electronic Engineers, FPGA Architects, and fellow FPGA Design Engineers to ensure technical excellence.
* Ensure traceability and quality through comprehensive documentation (in-line and external reports).
* Verify designs using simulation environments, Continuous Integration tools, and hardware testing.
* Perform synthesis, place & route activities, and post-layout verification (static & dynamic timing analysis, design rule checks).
* Participate in functional and performance test campaigns before final delivery.
Your Profile:
* Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Strong working knowledge of (micro)electronics.
* Proficiency in VHDL with familiarity in Python.
* Hands-on experience with FPGA development, testing, and validation.
* Experience using standard lab tools for FPGA testing.
* Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
* Proactive, creative, and results-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with ESA standards (ECSS-E-ST-20-40C / ECSS-Q-ST-60-03C).
* Experience with embedded computer platforms.
