About the role
We are seeking a Portfolio COO to join our team in Kontich, Antwerp. You will play a key role in guiding the growth of our portfolio companies by implementing transformation processes, leading a high-performing team responsible for operational excellence projects, and collaborating with management to achieve sustainable success.

Your responsibilities will include
* Lead, coordinate and execute end-to-end transformation initiatives for our portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with business strategy and objectives;
* Lead discussions with the management of our companies, as well as conducting in-depth assessments, to identify impactful opportunities for improvement and recommending tailored solutions (e.g. supply chain & logistics, working capital optimisation, digital transformation, pricing optimisation and operational efficiency, post-merger integration);
* Collaborate with the teams of both Companions as well as of the portfolio companies to develop and implement key strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of transformative initiatives;
* Provide expert guidance on change management, fostering a culture of adaptability within Companions’ companies;
* Ensure delivery of key initiatives for our companies by directing the activities of the Companions project team;
* Lead, develop and scale a high-performing team, through challenging and meaningful opportunities;
* Analyze market trends and industry best practices to stay at the forefront of transformation methodologies.
You are the perfect fit if you…
* Hold a master's degree in civil-, industrial-, business-, bioscience engineering, or a relatable field;
* Have proven record of leadership skills and team & project management;
* Have a total of 7-10 years of relevant experience in a consultancy role (internal or external) followed by an operational in-house role, both in strategy, operations, change management or transformation;
* Are results-driven and motivated to go the extra mile;
* Seek a steep career path, with the opportunity to grow into a C-executive role;
* Want to achieve maximum impact and are hands-on;
* Possess an analytical mind, work in a structured approach, and have the flexibility to quickly adapt;
* Get energized from solving complex problems and learning continuously;
* You are an out-of-the-box thinker;
* Are fluent in both spoken and written Dutch and English, French is a plus.
