Team Leader Air Freight NL/ENGAs the Team Leader of the Air freight Export Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including organizing team activities, maintaining customer relationships, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing invoicing, and maintaining data quality. You’ll be at the forefront of steering processes and resolving any irregularities that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and organize the Air Cargo Export team, ensuring efficient distribution of tasks and responsibilities.
2. Maintain daily communication with customers, handling inquiries and providing exceptional service related to air cargo shipments.
3. Take final responsibility for compliance with air freight regulations and ensure adherence to industry standards.
4. Supervise accurate invoicing and maintain high data quality standards.
5. Drive process improvements within the airfreight export team, identifying areas for optimization and implementing strategies.
6. Handle irregularities promptly and effectively, addressing customer escalations and finding solutions.
7. Provide instructions and collaborate closely with the Booking and Brokerage teams for air cargo shipments.
8. Prepare for and actively participate in customer meetings.
Qualifications and Skills
9. You should have several years of experience within Freight Forwarding, specifically in the airfreight domain.
10. Demonstrated the ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
11. Capable of motivating, coaching, and delegating tasks to team members.
12. An eye for continuous improvement and the ability to handle escalations.
13. Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
