Position Overview
Based at ourGlobal Headquarters in Brussels, in order to further strengthen our Group Procurement team we are currently seeking a:
Group Procurement Manager Raw Materials
(Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium)
Reporting directly to the Group Procurement Director, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for developing and implementing the category sourcing strategy for several key raw materials, notably Cocoa.
What do we expect from you?
1. You develop and implement group wide sourcing strategy for Cocoa to support our business unit Chocolate’s future growth plans.
2. You oversee and coordinate all cocoa sourcing activities, interacting with buyers of the various sites.
3. You obtain, track and cascade to relevant stakeholders the key market price trends and category insights.
4. You are responsible for the strategic supplier management notably for innovation/sustainability objectives.
5. You ensure relevant content input for monthly/quarterly commodity, market & coverage reports.
6. You will be the Group Procurement contact for countries & key internal stakeholders (notably Chocolate Business Unit, Group Pricing, Treasury andR&D).
7. You are the Procurement responsible for our Cacao Trace program which is Puratos’ sustainable cocoa field program and stakeholder certification.
What are we looking for?
8. You have a Master degree in Economics, (Bio)-engineering or equivalent.
9. You have a proven track record with 7+ years of experience in sourcing of raw materials; knowledge of or experience in cocoa is a big plus.
10. You have experience of working in an international matrix environment.
11. You use digital tools and market trends data platforms in order to gain strategic business and market insights. You also translate these into solutions for the business.
12. You have a positive mindset and embrace change.
13. You are mindful of cultural differences and like to build meaningful connections across cultures.
14. You speak fluently English. Dutch, French or any other language is a plus.
15. Travel will be required (including long haul) – both to key affiliates (Vietnam, Spain, US, Mexico, Brasil) and Cote d’Ivoire where our Cocoa Trace program is based.
