Job Description
The Agile Coach plays a key role in driving agility, speed, quality, autonomy, innovation, and transparency throughout the organisation. They will influence all levels of the organisation to adopt agile practices and foster a culture of customer and business value.
* Coach teams and individuals to adopt an agile mindset, practices, and skills, providing clarity, new learnings, and fostering maturation.
* Drive adoption of agile practices, techniques, and frameworks, reducing the gap between agile theory and practice.
* Develop, track, and monitor agile metrics to indicate potential problems and assist teams in implementing solutions.
* Identify organisational impediments to successful agile transformation and work with the leadership team to create effective strategies.
* Create and deliver presentations and training sessions on agile best practices and provide guidance on creating agile artefacts.
* Foster an environment of mutual respect, cooperation, transparency, autonomy, agility, learning, innovation, quality, and speed of execution.
* Manage conflict among people and situations while recognising and addressing sensitivities.
* Collaborate with teams to assess their agile practices and identify improvement opportunities.
* Partner with other Agile Coaches to align and drive consistency throughout the organisation.
* Organise and facilitate workshops to promote agile maturity.
* Communicate effectively with teams and leaders, demonstrating good listening skills and asking questions.
* Facilitate the learning and adoption of agile principles and practices with teams and managers.
* Guide transformational change at various levels, helping teams see broader perspectives and shift their mindset.
* Act as direct HR responsible for colleagues, providing individual coaching and HR administration.
* Work with Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure optimal staffing in squads, balancing costs, capacity, and skills.
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience executing agile projects in large, complex environments.
* Experience in coaching, mentoring, and training agile teams.
* Deep understanding of agile values, principles, and practices.
* Hands-on experience in agile methodologies.
* Strong facilitation and communication skills.
* Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
* Effective leadership and negotiation skills.
* Adaptive coaching style and ability to work with teams in an advisor role.
* Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
* Ability to operate autonomously and within a team environment.
* Assessing and measuring progress against defined goals.
* Continuous learning.
