Freelance Team Lead Credit Controller
Responsibilities :
* As a Credit Controller, you are responsible for the follow-up of the entire credit control process of a customer portfolio.
* This includes releasing orders, checking the outstanding items, setting up and monitoring the payment terms and the credit limits.
* You take the necessary actions for payment arrears and ensure an efficient follow-up of outstanding invoices, both by e-mail and by telephone. With a diplomatic and assertive approach, you always know how to come up with solutions that minimize credit risk.
* You work in good cooperation with colleagues from different departments, such as finance, sales, legal, logistics,... In case of disputes or other problems, you contact them to find the right solution together.
* You monitor the correct processing of bank statements and take care of the management of customer balances.
* You monitor and evaluate the performance of the team of 4 colleagues and provide coaching where necessary. You advise on difficult files and divide the workload.
* You will analyse, implement and optimise our processes and ensure that internal procedures are continuously adhered to.
Requirements:
* At least 10 years of experience within Credit Collection with experience in managing a team
* strong knowledge of MS Office and you can handle Excel well
* fluent bilingual Dutch/French with a basic knowledge of English
* Communicatively strong, sufficiently assertive, hands-on and collegial where you consider customer relationships to be of paramount importance
* plus: knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
