We are looking for our new Specialties & Appetizers Engineering Lead CE (Continental Europe) M/F/X. Within the European McCain Team, your primary role is to lead the conceptual design and basic design of the Process definition for the related projects of the CE 2030 Masterplan on McCain sites, as well as the Lutosa sites on Specialties and Appetizers initiatives enabling innovative and cost effectives approaches. You will achieve this whilst complying with all local, international and McCain statutory requirements for safety and food safety.
As Engineering Lead you will work closely with the Sites, Regional Engineering Execution Leaders and Global Appetizers Engineering teams to lead the implementation and ensure the application of initiatives with best practices.
This is a CE role, and your main office will be in one of our locations in this region. Frequent travelling to our different sites within Belgium, the Netherlands and France are required. You will report to the Technology & Assets Management Director CE. While you are part of several projects you will indirectly lead 10 people, that you drive, support and challenge in your journey to standardize processes. You do this by building and nurturing high-performing teams to achieve the engineering goals, and inspiring, motivating and empowering the team members.
Key responsibilities:
* You will provide technical expertise and guidance to the project execution teams during the planning, design, construction, but also during commissioning and qualifications phases of projects on McCain and Lutosa sites.
* You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop utility system designs that optimize performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting regulatory and safety standards.
* You will evaluate existing Specialties & Appetizer systems and identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
* You will develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and best practices related to Specialties & Appetizers design, operation, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
* You have minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
* You have at least 8-10 years of experience in Food Processing related works like Production, Technologist or Engineering, with a proven track record of leading design and deployment projects in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Thanks to your project management skills, and your continuous improvement mindset you will make this role a success.
* You have a strong technical expertise in the design, operation, and maintenance of Food Process systems, including knowledge of relevant engineering principles, codes, and standards.
* You are experienced with Food safety and Hygienic standard commonly used in food processing or manufacturing facilities, such as EDHEG in Europe.
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. You ae fluent in English.
* You are familiar with Start-up Management principles and practices, including experience with Line ramp-up.
