About the Job
The Infrastructure Maintenance and Support Sector manages the design, operation, and upkeep of the core infrastructure that supports eu LISAs justice and home affairs IT systems. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for contributing to the engineering, operation and maintenance of the core infrastructure services supporting critical IT systems.
The technical stack includes VMware (vCenter, ESX), HPE OneView, HPE XP8, Ansible, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, CEPH, Veeam Backup & Replication.
What are Your tasks:
* Architect, install, configure, and maintain infrastructure components (servers, storage, backup), ensuring high availability and performance.
* Implement and manage automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, GitOps, Terraform, Tufin) to streamline operations and enhance security.
* Oversee system lifecycle management, including capacity planning, upgrades, and end of life replacements.
* Use monitoring and management tools to detect, prevent, and respond to threats and anomalies.
* Collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners to align IT solutions with business needs.
* Maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture, operations, and security procedures.
* Identify opportunities for innovation and contribute to evolving IT services.
* Provide technical expertise and support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
What is required of your profile:
1. At least 3 years of professional experience to perform the duties in the areas described under Your tasks.
2. University degree of at least three years.
3. Excellent command of written and spoken English (at least C1 level).
4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills to assess technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
5. Effective planning and organization in a fast paced environment, managing multiple priorities while ensuring service quality.
6. Excellent collaboration skills, working well in cross functional teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
