Job Description
We are seeking experienced engineers to manage CAPEX projects and expand our teams in Nivelles and Mechelen.
Responsibilities:
* Project Planning and Strategy:
o Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables with stakeholders.
o Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structure, resource allocation, and project scheduling.
o Formulate project strategies, risk management plans, and contingency measures.
o Organize internal staff planning.
* Project Execution and Monitoring:
o Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budget.
o Manage and lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
o Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
o Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
* Stakeholder Management:
o Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish clear project communication channels.
o Facilitate effective communication and manage expectations among team members, contractors, vendors, and clients.
o Resolve conflicts and address issues arising during the project lifecycle.
o Ensure alignment of project objectives with stakeholders' needs and requirements.
* Budgeting and Cost Control:
o Develop project budgets, considering resource requirements, procurement, and contingency planning.
o Monitor project expenses, track costs, and implement measures to control and optimize expenditures.
o Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests in accordance with project guidelines.
o Oversee the profitability of Group IPS within the project and organize required scope changes.
* Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
o Establish quality standards, inspection procedures, and quality control measures.
o Monitor project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
o Implement and enforce safety policies, conduct safety audits, and promote a culture of safety among team members.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's + Master's degree in engineering and a minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
* At least 8 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically overseeing medium/ large CAPEX industrial projects.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Sound knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and industrial standards.
* Flexible for travelling within Belgium and Europe - up to an average of 60%.
* Ability to manage multiple sub-projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Proficient in project management software and tools.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permits related to industrial projects.
* Certification in project management (PMP) is strongly appreciated.
* Fluent in English and French. Dutch is an asset.
