IIn order to strengthen our “embedded passenger systems” team, Televic Rail is looking for an all-round QA engineer to design, implement and maintain an effective test platform for the Linux OS of our embedded devices and the related services.
In order to do so, you will make extensive use of the Linux OS, build hardware-in-the-loop test setups, write applications or scripts to assist in QA validation, design and implement the test framework with a focus on automation, …
You will join a team of skilled and motivated people and work with the Linux mainline kernel.
All aboard: explore your role with us
* Collaborating in the definition of the test architecture with focus on guaranteeing the device interoperability and real-time performance on different hardware devices.
* Translating (sub)system requirements into test specifications.
* Using the Yocto build system and the Linux OS.
* Developing complex unit & system tests for Linux OS with a strong link towards the hardware (e.g. sudden power loss handling, audio quality, …).
* Developing complex unit & system tests for application interfaces.
* Documenting the developed test software and (semi-) automated test reports.
Track your skills: how you can add value to our team
* You have preferably a Master’s degree in the field of engineering (Computer Sciences, ICT, Electronics) with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
* You have experience in software development, you have good C++ & Python skills, practical experience with C programming is a plus.
* You have experience with Linux on a user level.
* You have experience with QA concepts such as unit testing, Robot framework, continuous integration, …
* You are familiar with IP network protocols
* You have a strong affinity with hardware and are passionate about investigating issues down to a low level.
