We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our Applied Materials team in Belgium. This is a permanent, full time role, which is located out of our site in Leuven, Belgium
Key Responsibilities
1. Completion of quality repairs on Applied Materials equipment. You will be expected to actively respond to any fab issues by communicating with engineers in other locations and participating in escalation conference calls.
2. Ensuring correct procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work.
3. Performing retrofits on our equipment and assisting with process issues.
4. Assuming responsibility for full customer satisfaction and assuring excellent relations.
5. Following all safety procedures and consistently demonstrating safety as a value.
Requirements:
6. A Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline
7. Proven work experience - Practical hands on work exposure (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic)
8. Semiconductor industry is desirable, but not essential
9. Ability to lead without authority, be influential & establish excellent working relationship with internal and external customers
10. Outside the box thinking and problem-solving methodology knowledge
11. Identify process gaps, propose ideas to improve existing processes, recommend need for new process(es) and provide solutions to improve operational efficiency
