PURPOSE OF THE JOB
·To assist and support the Flight Operations Department by integrating responsibilities in navigation, standards compliance, and IT systems.
·To ensure efficient route optimization, regulatory compliance, and the advancement of digital systems supporting flight operations.
·To contribute to safety, sustainability, and innovation in alignment with company and regulatory requirements.
KEY ACTIVITIES
1.Navigation and Route Optimization:
o Maintain navigation databases (e.g., FMS, Jeppesen).
o Assist in route analysis, optimization, and feasibility studies in collaboration with the Security Department.
o Prepare navigation materials for new destinations and ad-hoc flights.
o Manage company’s aerodrome listings, including alternate and category listings.
2.Standards & Compliance:
o Monitor and implement regulatory changes (BCAA/EASA/ICAO/FAA).
o Support the preparation and maintenance of OM Part A, B, and C manuals.
o Act as a regulatory expert on environmental and sustainability requirements (CORSIA, EU-ETS, UK-ETS, etc.).
o Coordinate with competent authorities to ensure compliance and effective audit preparation (IOSA).
3.IT Systems & Digitalization:
o Support digital infrastructure and e-enabling initiatives for flight operations.
o Participate in IT-related projects, collaborating with internal IT teams on upgrades and major releases.
o Administer operational systems, including EFB and Mobile Device Management solutions.
o Optimize interaction between aircraft systems and ground systems, exploring technologies such as 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, and Satcom.
4.Safety & Risk Management:
o Act as Safety Representative for the Flight Operations Department.
o Conduct safety investigations, prepare risk assessments, and coordinate the Flight Operations Safety Action Group (SAG).
o Participate in Emergency Response Plan (ERP) activities.
o Maintain safety records, track trends, and prepare dashboards for management.
5.Training & Knowledge Transfer:
o Provide training to pilots, dispatchers, and non-technical personnel on performance tools, systems, and procedures.
o Collaborate with the documentation team to ensure accurate distribution of flight operations materials.
6.Continuous Improvement:
o Propose and implement improvements in operational systems, processes, and tools.
o Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track departmental objectives.
o Support sustainability goals by aligning operations with fast-evolving aviation environmental standards.
