We are looking for a Medical Affairs Manager to support the existing unique onco portfolio and the launch of line extensions in onco / breast cancer.
JOB SCOPE:
This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in breast cancer.
* You are the scientific support expert for the therapeutic area oncology (breast cancer).
* You will provide input to guide the medical and brand strategy in the pre-launch and launch phase and support clinical development of new indications.
* You will support the field medical team in their daily tasks and develop them to achieve their goals.
* You work in close collaboration with the Head of Medical Affairs Onco.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
High level Medical & Scientific expert:
* Demonstrate in depth scientific knowledge and current and future products and have profound and up to date therapeutic area expertise.
* Acts as medical expert and leader in interactions with external stakeholders.
* Provide scientific and technical support for assigned products by delivering scientific presentations and providing relevant scientific and technical training for internal and external stakeholders.
* Assist with the scientific review, development, approval, execution and communication of affiliate medical affairs sponsored or supported clinical research activities.
Internal and external collaboration:
* Support R&D and clinical development team with product pipeline.
* Be involved in setting up local strategic plans for company products and contribute to the positioning of newly marketed products, in collaboration with the regulatory, market access, marketing and sales departments, as a member of the brand team.
* Strong interaction with legal and compliance to ensure the non-promotional character of medical activities.
* Build and maintain professional and credible relationships with key opinion leaders.
Develop medical affairs strategies for life cycle management for onco products:
* Responsible for the delivery of strategic medical projects within budget in a timely manner.
* Drive educational initiatives (medical education, data, guidelines and value proposition).
Support to field medical team:
* Provide scientific support to field medical team by conducting internal trainings.
* Support data prioritization and insights collection in line with local product strategy by reviewing and contributing to the used scientific materials.
* Support the MSL with the development and field implementation of a medical engagement strategy and plan in line with the overarching medical and brand plan.
* Supervise the conduct of scientific projects with the objective to meet the strategic medical needs.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
* Scientific background (MD, PhD, or other scientific degree) with a minimum of 3 years experience in Medical Affairs in a pharmaceutical company.
* In depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
* Expert knowledge in Oncology, even in breast cancer would be great.
* In-depth understanding of the Clinical Development process Phase I-IV.
* Effective in cross-functional teamwork and project management.
* Ability to interact externally and internally to support the local business strategy.
Personal Skills:
* Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
* Strong analytical and synthesizing skills.
* Display strong customer orientation by having both medical / scientific and business driven mindset.
* Advanced communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* Possess good oral and written English communication skills.
* Fluency in Dutch and/or French required.
