Purpose of the Job:
As the Key Account Manager, you will serve as the primary interface between Bekaert and our global customers, ensuring comprehensive strategic engagement and relationship management.
You will be responsible for translating customer needs, advocating technology, and developing a robust network within customer organizations, spanning technology, strategy, and purchasing.
Your role is crucial in defining and implementing strategic account plans, guidelines, and targets to promote our products, solutions, and services.
Additionally, you will support market intelligence gathering and contribute to building a global Key Account organization whilst driving automotive best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate closely with Key Accounts at purchasing and technology levels to drive specification and nomination of our magnet wire.
2. Act as the customer's advocate within the organization.
3. Develop account strategies and formulate account plans.
4. Regularly review the implementation of account strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
5. Work with the team to define and build a sales organization that ensures a seamless customer experience.
6. Establish and maintain broad networks and strong relationships within both Bekaert and customer organizations at all levels, including senior executives, fostering customer intimacy.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
7. Minimum of 10 years' experience in Marketing, Sales, or Technical roles within an automotive tier 1 or 2 company or a related industry.
8. Proven commercial experience in the automotive sector is essential.
9. Ability to translate the our product value proposition to customer technology organizations.
10. Good technical understanding of automotive systems and capability to engage in initial technical interactions with customers.
11. Long-term vision and strategic thinking skills, coupled with a hands-on approach to execution.
12. Entrepreneurial mindset to drive new product integration.
13. Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable.
14. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building professional networks within Bekaert and customer organizations.
15. Team player, attentive listener, enthusiastic, dynamic, and resilient when necessary.
