Job Description
We are looking for a Director Risk Management to manage our enterprise risk management framework and related processes for the SD Worx group.
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our risk management strategy, analysing emerging risks, and updating our risk management policy and framework.
You will also be acting as the leader/coach of the Business Continuity Manager, overseeing our business continuity program, coaching and growing their skills and competences.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain and improve SD Worx's risk management strategy
* Analyse emerging risks, best practices, and trends in the field of risk management and continuously update SD Worx's risk management strategy and processes
* Ensure that regulatory requirements to report on risk-related matters are incorporated into the risk management strategy
* Maintain and improve SD Worx's risk management policy and framework
* Regularly assess and update our risk management processes and procedures
* Keep up to date the SD Worx Risk Appetite Statement
* Take ownership of the administration of the Risk Oversight module in SD Worx's GRC tool
* Facilitate and challenge identification of potential risks that could affect the company's strategic goals and support management and risk owners in execution of risk assessments and creation of risk mitigation action plans
* Monitor SD Worx's risk exposure and prepare and present risk reports, in line with regulatory requirements
* Increase awareness and make available training on risk management principles and practices. Promote a culture of risk awareness within the organization
Requirements
* Master's degree with more than 7 years of experience in the risk management field with at least 3 years in a leadership role
* Deep, proven experience in risk management and in articulating risk management strategies and frameworks
* Expertise in process design and in continuously improving processes
* Able to build strong relationships with risk owners and management to stimulate and influence them following risk management best practices and policies
* Experience and good knowledge of common risk management frameworks such as ISO31000 and the COSO ERM framework
* Confident in being a critical friend and debating approaches and trade-offs in balancing business opportunities vs risks
