R&D Process Assistant
What you will do
1. Collaborate closely with process engineers to support the integration and optimization of semiconductor processes.
2. After appropriate training and certifications, you will be working in imec labs and clean rooms (200mm and 300mm), handling sensitive equipment and materials.
3. You will be working in shifts (early/late) and covering one weekend out of four to ensure continuous support.
4. Execute tasks according to lot owner indications (PASS/FAIL criteria) to support production and research activities.
5. Summarize and disseminate your findings and investigation through detailed written reports, contributing to continuous improvement.
6. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Who you are
7. You obtained a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, or equivalent industrial experience, with a focus on semiconductor process technology.
8. You are interested in learning semiconductor integration and device characterization techniques.
9. Experience with cleanroom procedures and laboratory work is essential.
10. You are accurate, focused, and able to deliver results that meet specific targets and deadlines. Your reasoning skills enable you to identify and solve problems effectively.
11. You work in an organized manner and can manage your time efficiently to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
12. You are enthusiastic, flexible, and eager to learn new technologies and methods. You are adaptable and can adjust to changing priorities and requirements.
13. You have a sense of urgency and take the initiative to address issues and improve processes proactively.
14. You have excellent interpersonal skills and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
15. You have a high drive to work in a highly motivated and multicultural environment.
16. Given the international character of Imec, a good knowledge of English is a must.
17. Additional Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication equipment and processes is a plus.Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software (., Power BI, Python, SharePoint) for detailed evaluation and reporting.Strong technical writing skills for preparing comprehensive reports and documentation.Basic knowledge of project management practices to assist in coordinating research projects and timelines.Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus.
