For one of our client, a multinational biopharmaceutical company, we have a consultancy position for a global head for primary packaging management in the pharmaceutical and biological fields. The business is divided in two teams located respectively in Switzerland and Belgium. The work approach is collaborative, avoiding silos, and emphasizing cross-functionality and mutual support. The role operates within an international environment, with projects in North America, Asia, and other global partners. The project can be open to freelancers or employees on Belgian contract.
Main Tasks
- Manage teams located in both countries
- Supervise innovation and development projects for primary packaging.
- Ensure supplier robustness and sustainability.
- Collaborate with support departments (procurement, quality, regulatory affairs).
- Participate in the development of candidates and assets, anticipating future needs.
- Maintain and improve SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure their robustness and agility.
- Manage the product lifecycle and resolve any issues.
- Interact with all departments, including internal and external manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and quality.
- Participate in weekly meetings and workshops to strengthen team bonds.
- Ensure fluent and respectful communication in English, both orally and in writing.
Must-Have Skills
- Technical expertise in primary packaging in the pharmaceutical field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of development processes and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work agilely and prioritize tasks.
- In-depth knowledge of materials used for primary packaging and pharmacopoeia
requirements.
- Proficiency in English, both orally and in writing.

- Experience with international suppliers.
- Knowledge of innovation platforms in the pharmaceutical field.
