ENGIE Laborelec is a research and expertise center focused on electrical power technology, with a team of over 380 employees from different backgrounds. About the team
The Nuclear Business Line provides high added value activities and services to our nuclear clients and also to the other Business Lines of Laborelec. This covers applied research, products and technical assistance. The team offers, manages and realizes multidisciplinary projects leveraging the expertise and services from all expert teams of Laborelec and its different laboratories.
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities as Cluster Manager Nuclear Chemistry, Concrete & Waste
This role has a mixed function. You will work partly as a People Manager (more than half of the time) and partly as a Project Manager or as an Expert (depending on your competences).
People & Expertise Development
• You promote a culture of feedback and learning, and watch over sustainable employability within and beyond your cluster.
• You act as a manager/coach to support people in their personal development and career growth.
• You (co-)create an annual learning plan to boost some specific competencies.
• You support team development, taking into account the diversity of team members’ profiles.
People Well-being
• You define and implement actions to improve the employee experience.
• You take care of the overall well-being of team members, with special attention paid to absenteeism and psychosocial risks.
• You are the first line facilitator when well-being issues or conflicts appear.
• You have a key role to play in the onboarding/integration and offboarding/exit of people.
Capacity Management
• You guarantee the availability and optimal allocation of resources within and beyond your cluster.
• You are in charge of the capacity planning and a key-contributor to the productivity of your cluster.
• You contribute to the annual strategic plan definition and are responsible for its translation and steering into an HR strategic plan.
• You co-define staffing needs with the Head of People.
Performance Management
• You are in charge of the execution of the Performance Management process and contribute to the annual People & Expertise Review process.
Culture & Change
• You are a culture ambassador and a true changemaker within your Business Line.
• You “walk the talk” in terms of ENGIE programs, promote Laborelec’s Purpose & Culture and create and implement change programs.
Project Management or Expertise
• To complete your People Manager role, you will be involved as a Project Manager or as an Expert in different projects and tasks based on your experience and expertise.
You will work alongside a supportive team, and will have access to professional development opportunities to help you grow in your own career.

Do you?
• Have proven experience of approximatively 2-5 years in managing a technical team, or are willing to learn.
• Have strong leadership capabilities and an ability to develop, inspire and motivate a team.
• Have the agility to implement a Feedback culture & Growth mindset in a team.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have technical affinity with, or expertise in, Chemistry? This skill is appreciated.
• Have some experience in (technical) Project Management.
• Solve problems creatively.
• Demonstrate strong empathy and people orientation; with the development of people being a strong motivation.
• Have a natural customer and results orientation.
• Communicate fluently in French, Dutch and English.
